5 Stars For These Netflix Limited Series
Edge-of-your-seat material set in opulence and rated in order of awesomeness
If you, like me, are not in the mood for misery, sepia-shade crime dramas or dark and dinghy serious TV, here are some colorful, opulent, bright shows that look amazing and leave you feeling exhilarated.
1. The Decameron
Best actress on the show: Everyone, but especially Saoirse-Monica Jackson.
“Fuck yea, signora!”
This is hands-down my personal favourite. A period piece set in Italy during the bubonic plague, The Decameron is a fun-ass (yes, I’m starting to write like this because otherwise, you’ll think this is AI) limited comedy series that just kept getting better.
Everyone in Italy is dying of the plague, and Italy is in shambles. Nobles are rushing to find their ticket out of their declining fortunes and, more importantly, the pestilence. In this setting, a group of miscreants gathers at a villa, each with their own stash of secrets, and the games to claim the villa begin.
